The Capril Thread

Post by dizzystuff » Sat Mar 31, 2012 11:53 am

Just reminding everyone that Capril starts tomorrow so dont forget to wear your capes and donate to Beyondblue.

Anybody know of any events happening around the place this year?
I know the retro hotel in Sydney has a capril night at the end of April but theres nothing to suggest its in support of Beyondblue.
I've had some brochures/flyers printed explaining Capril and depression to hand out when I inevitably get asked why while out and about.

Last night on my twit feed I noticed that a certain well-known promoter of Capril was saying that she was going to appear on 2SER at 7:45am this morning to promote Capril. I tweeted back that I would try and record it for her, and she replied: "Please!" So, please find enclosed to link to the file from her interview this morning. Here.

so many brilliant opportunities for getting capril out this year in sydney.
zappa plays zappa on the 7th, seasick steve on the 12th, cold chisel on the 18th, jimoein on the 27th plus all the various comedy festival gigs.
so get your capes on, spead the word and dont forget to donate to beyondblue.

if anyone is going to any of the above gigs ill see you there.

just turned on the tv to find a rather Capril appropriate episode of Dr. Who centred around Vincent Van Gogh and his mental decline.
I know it was an old episode but I thought it was a rather good portrayal of depression and how it effects people and those around them.
Around 1 in 4 people will experience depression in their life and its not always so obvious and some people dont make it out again.

The zazzle website is telling me that there are no Capril items to display. Do you have direct links to the items themselves?

There's the Get This artwork at least. Not sure about the specifics of the one dizzystuff's posted. Dizzy?

this is unfortunate. zazzle appears to have taken them down. i also got an email from them saying my money would be refunded.
these were the reasons they gave:
Policy Violations:
--- Design contains content that is not suitable for printing on officially licensed merchandise. For more information please visit: http://zazzle.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/143
--- Design contains a trademarked image or text. If you are interested in purchasing Official Licensed Merchandise from Zazzle please visit: http://www.zazzle.com/brands

I will contact the organisers and find out what is going on. when i find out ill let you know

sorry
